Every Shadow is a Cockroach (Poem 001)

Every Shadow is a Cockroach (Poem 001)

Every Shadow is a Cockroach

Every shadow is a cockroach
And this is not a metaphor
You shiver when you see one
In the midnight kitchen

Yellow red alarms, first
Say, how can I kill you?
Ring. Ring. Ring.
And then the deed is done

Every shadow is a cockroach
Because the face of fear is friend
And so I shut the lights
To know this never ends
